Arrow-shaped, deep emerald-green leaves with prominent bright-white veins. The leaf surface has a velvety, matte texture that gives the cultivar its "Green Velvet" common name. Variegated forms exist with white sectoral patches.

How to tell it apart from look-alikes
Confused with Alocasia Polly (smaller, glossier leaves with white veins). Frydek leaves are larger, velvety (not glossy), and have a softer overall appearance. Polly is much smaller at maturity.
