Yes — in summer only. Yes — anthuriums thrive outdoors in summer in bright dappled shade with high humidity. They often bloom MORE outdoors than indoors thanks to brighter light. Bring inside when nights drop below 60°F.

Moving your Anthurium outside for summer

Move outside when nights are above 65°F. Bright dappled shade is ideal. The brighter outdoor light (without direct sun) triggers more reliable flowering. 60%+ humidity is important.

Sun acclimation

Tolerates filtered morning sun after gradual acclimation. Direct afternoon sun burns the colorful spathes (flowers).

When to bring your Anthurium back inside

Bring inside before nights drop below 60°F. Inspect for thrips and aphids.

Common mistakes

Direct sun (faded spathes and brown leaf edges). Low humidity outdoors (crispy edges). Allowing the soil to dry completely (bloom drop).
