Can a Peace Lily Grow in Water?
Yes. peace lilies can grow in water indefinitely. They're sold in commercial hydroponic setups (often with a Betta fish in the same vase). The plant adapts well to water culture.
How long it lasts in water
Indefinite with proper care.
How to set up
Place the root mass in a glass vase with the crown above the water line. Use rocks or marbles to keep the roots stable. Change water every 1–2 weeks. Add a few drops of liquid fertilizer monthly.
What can go wrong
Submerging the crown causes rot. Stagnant water leads to root rot — change weekly if possible. Use filtered water to prevent fluoride brown-tipping.
